Ansel Adams once said “A good photograph is knowing where to stand”, and Birgitta Wolfgang Drejer does just that – standing in the right place. Her ability to find the right angle and expose a perspective that no one noticed before makes her photography very unique. That, combined with her trademark of shooting without any form of artificial light has made Birgitta one of the most sought after photographers in Europe.
Travelling around the world, living in a variety of countries and working for some of the world’s most prestigious and influential magazines including Elle Interior, AD, Casa Vogue, RUM amongst others, has given her a vast experience in many different genres of photography.
Birgitta’s approach to photography is always consistent whether it is portrait, lifestyle or the more than 3,000 homes worldwide she has photographed. She never alters the natural setting, instead using what is at hand to tell the story. There is no artificial light, styling, props or other impromptu additions to the setting. It is always an honest and genuine look at that moment in time. Birgitta’s photography harnesses natural light, preventing the photos from appearing flat and making them an intense and fascinating experience for the viewer.

“One of the things I love about taking photos is, trying to capture the atmosphere that existed there a second ago before the photo was taken – that someone was there, living their life. In a way my photography becomes a testimonial to those moments in life.”
